The ANGELS/DEMONS series are wall-mounted works that combine textured painting with sculpture. These pieces resulted from my observations of people’s totally individual view of one piece of artwork. I wanted a series of work that depict two very different aspects without defining for the viewer which is which. I chose ANGELS/DEMONS because of the prevalence of definite good and definite evil in our consciousness today. However, each viewer sees the work through a filter of his own personal angels or demons resulting in conflicting interpretations and emotional reactions to each sculpture.
